Yoga offers delightful gifts to children

Children and teens who nurture a regular Yoga practice learn to use breath, movement and relaxation to soothe a tensed nervous system from the pressures of modern-day living.

Through games, breathing exercises, songs, movement, art, storytelling, journaling and discussion, Yoga frees our kids and teens from daily anxieties, frustrations and worries. At the same time, our children and teens can pick up tools to help them enhance attention, concentration, listening and learning in school.

Immersed in themes such as Love, Kindness, Compassion, and Courage, SOMAYOKE kids yoga classes aim at deepening our children's relationships with themselves and others. They learn to relate to peers, family and others in healthy, loving ways and draw safe boundaries in relationships.

Family Yoga deepens parent-child bonds

Parent-child or family yoga has the power to strengthen bonds, repair mis-attunements and create space to heal from daily frustrations, confusion and anger in parent/child or family relationships. It's a perfect time to get to know each other better through laughter, movement, and conversations!
